Remember Me

실사든 애니메이션이든 근래 본 영화 중 가장 감동적이고 완성도 높은 작품의 하나로 꼽을만 하다. 

가족으로부터 잊혀지지 않는다는 것이란... 

이심전심이랄까 헥터의 마음이 곧 나의 마음 같았다. 눈물이 났다. 

둘째 하고만 같이 봤는데, 둘째는 벌써부터 엄마와 언니와 같이 다시 한 번 더 보자고 한다. 슬쩍 곁눈질로 봤는데, 녀석의 눈가도 촉촉하다. 

미겔과 헥터, 그리고 그들의 가족애를 보면서 무엇이 우리에게 가장 소중한 것인가 다시 생각해 본다. 

'생로병사'. 인간이라면 누구도 피해갈 수 없는 것이다. 그러나 얼굴의 주름이 세월의 흐름을 말해주는 할머니도 아빠와의 추억을 떠올릴 때면 다시 그 시절 3~4살 응석받이 아이로 돌아간다. 

나는 우리 아이들에게 가족에게 어떤 사람으로 기억될 것일 지... “리멤버 미(나를 기억해 줘)”란 주제곡이 여전히 귀가를 맴돈다. 가슴이 먹먹하다.

I watched this 3D Pixar animation with my daughter last Sunday. How awesome and emotional story it is! 

The story is an episode based on the Mexican holiday, the Day of the Dead(Día de los Muertos). But it also reminds me what a family’s true love is. 

'From cradle to grave'. No body's no exception. But even the grandma's wrinkled face may be changed into kid's when she remembers her papa.

“Remember Me”, this title song still rings in my ears. My heart will go on with full of feelings
